Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Founded in 1833, under the name Burnfoot, the distillery is now owned by Ian MacLeod distiller
A rare single cask bottling of 1971 vintage Glengoyne single malt Scotch whisky, which was bottled back in 1998. Glengoyne often produce well-Sherried expressions, and this single cask whisky looks to be just that – wonderfully, deliciously Sherried single malt. 588 bottles were produced. There is no indication as to how many 5cl miniatures were filled. Rare and a great addition for any collectors.
Exact dates for filling and bottling aren’t known so it could be 27 or 28yo.
