This is the Founder's Collection by Tony Reeman-Clark and this the first cask to be filled at Strathearn. It is part of a seven cask series. Bottled at 9yo at 50.9% abv. With no previous distillation feints, the spirit has a rich and malty note and just the added flavour of the cask. Only 51 bottles were filled.

STRATHEARN DISTILLERY Founders' Collection 9yo Cask #001
Scotland’s tiniest distillery started operation in 2013. Located in the village of Methven, close to Crieff in Highland Perthshire, it occupies a set of former farm buildings.
Production comes from an 800-litre wash still, and a spirit still with a 400-litre charge. Even the casks are tiny, only holding 50 litres – the industry standard is 200l. Flexibility has been the aim of its owners and, in common with many other new ‘craft’ start-ups, it produces gin and rum, as well as whisky.
In October 2019, it was announced that independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co had acquired Strathearn outright for an undisclosed sum – making it the company’s first distillery acquisition. Strathearn’s gin and rum products will still be available, under the ownership of a new business, The Whisky Garden Ltd.
