This vintage expression from Islay's Ardbeg distillery is a very collectable bottling. Distilled in 1977, it was matured for at least two decades, surviving the distillery's period of instability in the mid-1990s. Released in small batches between 2001-2004, this expression is bottled free from chill filtration at a strength of 46% abv.

In 1977, Ardbeg had only just recently began using peated malt from Port Ellen Maltings.
