Founded in 1824, Fettercairn is surprisingly little known for being the second government-approved distillery, but it is located in the East Highlands and is of Gaelic and Pictish origin meaning "slope by bushes".
The Oval Label, which is distributed in the 1980s, is also available as a NAS, but this is an 8-year aged product. Malt, honey, apricot, creamy and milky, with slightly floral flavors such as orange and rose blossoms.
