History in a bottle!
This blended Scotch whisky was first introduced around 1960 as a product of the malt and grain stills at Lochside distillery in Montrose, which was owned at the time by Joseph Hobbs. Early bottles blended new make grain and spirit before ageing, a process known as ‘blending at birth’, which was stopped following Hobbs death in 1964.
