A unique Single Island Malt Scotch Whisky. The Arran Malt captures the character of this beautiful island of clear mountain water and soft sea air. In the past , illicit stills abounded on the island, hidden in remote glens, and The Arran Malt was renowned as being one of the finest in Scotland. Now the Arran Malt is reborn, Distilled at Lochranza on the north west tip of the island, Arran Distillers use only traditional wooden washbacks and copper stills. The whisky is then matured in oak casks to allow the full character to develop. These bottles of whisky were not for sale and were only available to those prudent enough to invest in the distillery at its conception. Tasting Notes: Light and gentle for a first bottling with malty goodness. The finish is fruity with apples and grapes on the palate.
